Built up LED illumnated Signage a OmniPro office in Ferns

Here's some details of a project we recently worked on, nearby in Ferns for OmniPro.  OmniPro is a company that delivers specialist products and services for accountants, much of their work is delivered online, the online content and HQ functions are based in Ferns, County Wexford, occupying the top two floors of the building.  The building occupies a pivotal location on the main Dublin to Wexford road in the centre of the town.

The north-eastern section that houses the staff kitchen, Directors offices and meeting rooms overlooked the graveyard of the local Church; with this in mind it was decied to commence the project by installing a light sand blast effect privacy film to hide this.  The base line was agreed at 850mm from floor level and the height of the plain band was 900mm.  From a seated position the graveyard view was hidden without significantly reducing light in the room.  These heights also complied with Part M of the Building Regulations (More about Part M here).

It was decided to install signage on the north and south elevation of the office block, the first "O" in OmniPro was 9.5 metres from ground level and strung vertically down the building.  In consultation with the client we installed the signage in two phases.

The northern phase was the most challenging and was completed first, as it was necessary to park the cherry picker machine close to the entrance to Aldercourt and the N11 main road through Ferns.  Barrow Signs safely completed this phase of works after hours.  Signage on the southern side was completed during regular hours with a scissors lift, as a machine with a shorter footprint was required in order to avoid disruption to food retail businesses on the ground floor.

The letters themselves are manufactured from powder coated stainless steel to the specific RAL colours of the client.  Internally they are fitted with bright white low voltage LED modules, in order to distribute the light evenly an opal acrylic diffuser is placed at the rear of each letter.

To complete the project and to highlight to visitors the main entrance to OmniPro's office we installed an alumnium backing panel directly to the marble fascia, over which we placed 3D CNC cut foamex lettering that was painted to match the high level signs and corporate colours, and as a finishing touch we flood coated the screens and doors at the entrance with the same sand-blast effect vinyl used on the offices and included the OmniPro branding in the two centre panels of the doors.

If you are considering illuminated signage for your business or building, please call our Project Manager, Dorian Marks at 087 9980510.  Barrow Signs supply and fit signage nationwide.

We conduct full site survey to determine the optimum size and type of signage, also to advise on switching mechanisms (timer or photocells) and locations of transformers and wiring routes.  We also produce full concept drawings to accompany your quotation.

Having illuminated signage on your building ensures that your brand is visible both day and night.  Here are some images from this project.
